What are the immediate effects of acupuncture?

Animals respond in a variety of ways. It is often noted that the animal enjoys a release of endorphins from the brain and therefore shows a more relaxed attitude, better appetite and enjoys deeper sleep. However, in some cases the health problem can be more intense for about 24 hours after the acupuncture. We believe that this is in fact a good sign, as in such cases the patient responds better in subsequent treatments.
