Charlie's Story

I'm Charly, a 12 year old English Cocker Spaniel. Everyone I meet says I'm very lucky to have reached the age of 12 as most owners, I'm told, would have euthanized me many years ago. But my mummy loves me so dearly; she would not give up on me without a fight for a good life.

I know that my breeder, if I can even call him that, did not care about good genetics when breeding my father and mother. He was only interested in running a puppy mill to make money from people who don't know any better. My mummy and papa were not experienced dog owners at the time. All they knew was that they fell in love with me the moment they held me in their arms.

By the time I was 9 years old, my health began deteriorating drastically. My mummy was totally reliant on conventional vet medicine which was not keeping me in good health anymore. When my step-brother Pepper began acupuncture treatments, mummy also discussed my health problems with Dr Susanna, who helped her put my situation in perspective. With weekly acupuncture treatments, change in diet away from store bought kibble to home-cooked food, organic oils and finally herbs.

Layer by layer, the acupuncture and diet peeled away and dug deep into my core. I suffered severe healing crisis lasting about 2 months, mummy honestly thought my end was near. But again she persevered, this time with the help and support of Dr Susanna.

I am happy to report that my infections are fewer and further between. Mummy has maintained my health with natural remedies which do not damage my organs like anti fungal medication and other drugs.

With the herbals, I feel so much more energetic and comfortable which makes me happy. My mummy is relieved that I am showing signs of improvement. My acupuncture sessions now are less frequent, just enough to ensure my Qi channels are open for the herbal nutrition to reach the trouble areas. I feel I have a new lease on life, and a happy one too. Thank you, Dr Susanna, for coming into our lives and showing us that the best way is always the natural way.
