What Our Patients Says
Patsy

Patsy is my 10 year old Dalmatian, very affectionate, gentle and loving dog. She like every dog loves her walks and going on car rides. She woke me up at 3am in the morning back in April 2010, she was wobbling everywhere. I thought she was having a stroke and I quickly rushed her to the vet at wee hours of the morning. Blood test was done and when her blood test results came back, the news was really bleak, my vet suspected Leukaemia. Further blood samples were sent to the States and Australia for pathologist to confirm her results so we can get the right diagnosis to begin her treatment. When both blood specialists confirmed blood cancer and it could either be acute or chronic either cancer she has less then 6 weeks to live. I've decided not to go along with chemo partly her age and always in my mind "what would be her quality of life" should I go down that path. I wanted an alternative and kinder treatment for her. I read about Dr Susanna from her website, she was recommended by my vet and also friend’s recommendation. By then I have decided holistic treatment was the way forward for her. My knowledge on acupuncture are really basic but I am going to remain open and go on this journey of discovery as I thought, what have we got to lose. It's better to do something then no treatment at all, it is less harmful to her body. Her initial acupuncture sessions were weekly for months and months. Sometimes I see improvement but other times, she just dipped down. It was very difficult for me as an owner to see your beloved pet from being an energetic dog gradually slowing down with her illness. You can only remain hopeful, consult Dr Susanna, give her feedback on your dog’s progress and really work with her. The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has worked tremendously well for Patsy together with a complete change in her diet. It took me months and months to get her food intake correctly. Now that I have got her food balance right, she looks so much better. She has got the spark back in her eyes, more energy to chase squirrels round the garden and guide her territory. Without her AP treatment and TCM, I don’t know if Patsy would still be here with me today. Is coming up to a year since her diagnosis, my dallie is enjoying her life and she is involve in every part of our family activities. This is the most rewarding journey for both of us.
